Long flat tagliatelle is a traditional type of pasta having its origin in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna and Marche regions. You can make it with various ingredients like bacon, tuna, pork ragu, and chicken and tomato sauce as per your taste and preferring. The positive thing you can make it very quickly. If you are in a hurry and trying to make a tasty yet comfort food, go for this pasta dish. Here I am giving two easy recipes, one is with bacon and mushrooms, and another is with tuna. All the ingredients are easily available in every household. So, just make them and have a delightful dinner.
Creamy Mushroom Tagliatelle With Bacon
Preparation time – 10 minutes
Cooking time – 20 minutes
Serves – 4 people
Ingredients
- Sliced button mushrooms – 250 gm
- Tagliatelle – 400 gm
- Cream – 125 ml
- Chopped bacon – 125 gm
- Parmesan cheese – 30 gm, shredded
- Basil pesto sauce – 50 ml
- Chicken stock – 50 ml
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Fresh chopped basil – for garnishing
Directions
- Take a pot half filled with salted water. Put it on medium flame and as the water starts to boil, add the pasta and boil it till it becomes soft. Remove the water and keep it aside.
- In a pan, heat the oil and fry the bacon for a few minutes. Pour the mushroom and fry them together till the mushroom is soft and bacon becomes crunchy.
- Lower the flame and tip in the cream and keep stirring while you are pouring the cream. Pour the chicken stock along with basil pesto and let them cook on a medium flame till the sauce becomes thick and creamy.
- Once done, pour this sauce over the cooked pasta and top it with parmesan. Mix them well so that each strand of pasta gets coated with sauce and cheese. Sprinkle the basil before serving.
Lemony Tagliatelle With Tuna
Preparation time – 10 minutes
Cooking time – 20 minutes
Serves – 4 people
Ingredients
- Tagliatelle – 300 gm
- Extra virgin olive oil – 6 tbsp
- Garlic – 1 clove, minced
- Rocket – a handful
- Tuna – 2 cans, 260 gm each
- Lemon – 1, both juice and zest
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Directions
- First, boil the pasta in salted water for about 7 minutes till they become soft. Keep it aside after draining the water.
- Pour the tuna from the can into a bowl and crush them a little using a fork.
- Then take a pan and pour some of the oil and put it on medium flame. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and sauté it till it gives a nice aroma. Now add the pound tuna along with some of the rocket. Keep the remaining rocket for garnishing.
- Sprinkle pepper as well as salt and mix well. Now mix the lemon juice and zest and stir. Pour the cooked pasta into it and toss them very well so that the pasta becomes well coated with tuna.
- When done, add some olive oil from the top and garnish with the remaining rocket. You have to serve this dish hot and fresh for its excellent taste.
