You need fresh or either canned tomatoes, basil, oregano, and parsley. After you have all the ingredients, then wash them off properly to remove debris. Moreover, if you are using fresh tomatoes for making the sauce, then chop it off into small pieces. Besides this, blot the herbs with the help of paper towels.

Start Preparing For the Recipe

 In the next step, put the chopped tomatoes into the blender and make a thick paste. In case you are using canned tomatoes, do the same the above step. Now, chop the garlic and onions using a knife and cutting board and keep them aside.

Step 1

In a pan, pour some extra virgin olive oil and let it heat for one minute over medium flame. Next, add chopped garlic and onion to the oil and sauté it until they turn into a light golden color. In this step, do take care of the flame and don’t sauté it for more than three to four minutes.

Step 2

Add the tomato puree along with chopped tomato into the pan. Afterward, add pepper and salt according to the taste. In the next step, let the sauce simmer for around 40 minutes on low flame. Along with this, keep stirring the sauce in between until it starts leaving the oil from the sides.

Step 3 

Take parsley, oregano, and basil leaves and cut them into fine pieces. Before chopping, do remove the stems of the leaves.
