Penne pasta: 350g

Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

Bacon: 175g (cut into small thin strips)

Onion: 1 (finely chopped)

Garlic cloves: 2 (finely chopped)

Sweet or smoked paprika: 1 teaspoon

Red chili: 1 (seeded and finely chopped)

Tomato puree: 400ml

Sugar: a pinch

Fresh basil leaves

Freshly ground black pepper

Salt: as per taste

Boil the pasta for four to five minutes or as per your preference and drain the excess water from it. Then, in a skillet, add the olive oil, saute the bacon until crispy and add onion, garlic, paprika, chili, pasta, and tomato puree. Smoked sausage: 1 package (diagonally cut into 1/4-inch slices)

Pasta: 8 ounces (cooked, drained)

Heavy cream: 2 cups

Cajun seasoning: 2 teaspoons
